Duong Thi Mai Huong is a Partner at Frasers Law Company, based in the Ho Chi Minh City office. She joined the firm in 2020 and advises across a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, banking and finance, real estate and construction, and international trade.

Experience

Huong has deep experience in corporate investment, restructuring, insurance, and venture capital, and data protection with a particular focus on helping clients navigate increasingly complex privacy and cybersecurity regulations. She has acted for clients across a wide range of industries, advising on the design and implementation of data protection frameworks alongside her broader transactional work. Her experience includes legal due diligence, contract negotiation, transaction structuring, and regulatory advice. She regularly supports clients through complex M&A deals and commercial matters and is known for her practical approach to advising on both legal risks and business strategy.

She is ranked by IFLR1000 as a Rising Star for M&A in both 2023 and 2024, and a Rising Star Partner in 2025. She is also recognised by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific as a Rising Star for Insurance in 2024, a Leading Lawyer in 2025 and a Next Generation Partner in 2026.

Before joining Frasers, Huong worked at an international law firm in Ho Chi Minh City and served as Director of Legal at a major Vietnamese real estate developer.

Professional Background

Huong holds an LL.M. in International Business Law from Newcastle University (2014) and a Bachelor of Laws in Business Law from the University of Economics and Law, Ho Chi Minh City. She is a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association and is fluent in Vietnamese and English.
