Chong Kin is the Managing Director of Drew & Napier’s Corporate & Finance department and co-heads the Competition Law & Regulatory Practice and Data Protection, Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice. He also heads the Telecommunications, Media and Technology (TMT) Practice. Since 1999, he has played a key role in the development of sectoral competition regulation in Singapore, particularly in the telecommunications, media and postal industries, and routinely advises sectoral competition regulators on liberalisation, market access, licensing, competition regulation, merger reviews and enforcement issues, including successfully defending regulators in Ministerial appeals.A pioneer in data protection in Singapore, Chong Kin’s work in data protection, privacy and cybersecurity at Drew predates the enactment of the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 and the Cybersecurity Act 2018, with expertise extending to sectoral frameworks in the TMT and emerging AI sectors. He has consistently been recognised as a leading lawyer by major international legal publications, and the practices he heads are widely regarded as leading practices in Singapore. He has also been recognised as a Senior Accredited Specialist in Data and Digital Economy Law by the Singapore Academy of Law.

Anastasia is Director and Deputy Head of Data Protection, Privacy and Cybersecurity at Drew & Napier. Her key areas of practice are Data Protection, Privacy and Cybersecurity, Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT), as well as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Trust. Prior to joining the firm, she served for over nine years as Deputy Chief Counsel to Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) and the Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA), where she was lead counsel for PDPC matters, IMDA’s procurement and intellectual property portfolios.

Anastasia has advised on a broad range of regulatory, compliance and commercial matters, including data protection management programmes, data protection impact assessments, cross-border data transfer mechanisms, as well as playbooks and contractual clauses relating to the development and deployment of AI solutions.

Anastasia has been recognised as a Senior Accredited Specialist in Data & Digital Economy Law by the Singapore Academy of Law, and has also been endorsed by The Legal 500 and Lexology Index.

David is Director and Co-Head of Data Protection, Privacy and Cybersecurity at Drew & Napier and Co-Head and Programme Director of the Drew Data Protection & Cybersecurity Academy. His main practice areas also include Artificial Intelligence and Digital Trust, ASEAN and Global Data Protection Law, and Data Breach Management and Response. David has over 25 years’ experience advising on legal, public policy and business aspects of the digital economy, digital technology, telecommunications and the Internet. He has particular expertise in data law and policy including areas such as data privacy, data protection management, cybersecurity, AI ethics, data governance and digital and cyber regulation.

Prior to joining the firm, David advised on the development of Singapore’s first general data protection law, the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 and he was the first Chief Counsel of Singapore’s data protection authority, the Personal Data Protection Commission from 2013 to 2020. David has been recognised as a Fellow of Information Privacy by the IAPP and a Senior Accredited Specialist in Data and Digital Economy Law by the Singapore Academy of Law.
