A new member has joined the INPLP: Emely García

The DATALAWRD Observatory is a non-profit organization created to promote, through educational means, the right to personal data protection, privacy, the right to access public information, government transparency, cybersecurity, and other related topics in the Dominican Republic.

Emely García graduated in Law from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) of the Dominican Republic; Master's degree in Big Data and Business Intelligence from Next International Business School (NEXT IBS) and the University of Zaragoza, Spain; and Master's degree in Cybersecurity Law and Digital Environments from the University of León, Spain.

The Dominican Republic is a country located in the Caribbean, occupying the eastern two-thirds of the island of Hispaniola, which it shares with Haiti. It is the second-largest country in the Caribbean and has a population of around 11 million people.

What is the INPLP?

INPLP is a not-for-profit international network of qualified professionals providing expert counsel on legal and compliance issues relating to data privacy and associated matters. INPLP provides targeted and concise guidance, multi-jurisdictional views and practical information to address the ever-increasing and intensifying field of data protection challenges. INPLP fulfils its mission by sharing know-how, conducting joint research into data processing practices and engaging proactively in international cooperation in both the private and public sectors.
