Pablo Arteaga
Pablo Arteaga is an Associate at Dentons Paz Horowitz. He focuses his practice on digital law, Fintech, blockchain and personal data protection. His experience in personal data protection stands out for his understanding in best practices in management and governance. Pablo is certified as a lead implementer of the international norms ISO 27701 (Privacy Information Management System) and ISO 29100 (Best practices for privacy matters). His knowledge in agile innovation methodologies, including Legal Design Thinking, complements his legal formation and allows him to design legal solutions for his corporate clients. He has advised, both Banks and startups, on financial technology (Fintech). In personal data protection, he has participated in implementation processes of the Ecuadorian Data Protection Law, gap analysis of compliance and consultancies related to management and governance of data protection within organizations.Regarding Legal Design, Pablo stands out as a referent in Ecuador and the region. He is the author of the Book: "Designing the future: protection of personal data" published in June 2021. This work has being considered one of the most important Legal Design projects in the region and is the first notable case of application of Legal Design in Ecuador. He is also co-author in the first book of Legal Design in Spanish, published with Thomson Reuters on June 2022.
